For the last few years (maybe even longer) the drum shade has been the go-to for almost any lamp. While the drum shade does not appear to be making an exit any time soon, it may have to make room at the top for an old friend...
THE PLEATED SHADE
Within the next few years you’ll see a resurgence of pleated shades, but with a whole new look. They’ve been taken from dusty archives, re-woken, modernized…. AND WE ARE LEFT PINING FOR THEM!!
A company that is no stranger to a pleated shade is Danish lighting company Le Klint.

Le Klint is based in Denmark and currently only has one retailer here in the states but, their popularity can’t be understated with over 400 retailers in Europe alone. And if it’s popular in Europe, I’m sure we’ll be seeing more of them state-side very very soon.
Each of their lights is hand folded and manufactured, with the utmost pride in craftsmanship. Watch this Video! It displays their handmade process and it is absolutely MESMERIZING.

Urban Outfitters has this bad boy ON SALE for $99. Run don't walk! This would look good in almost any style of home and in any room. He's real cute and I'm checking my bank account right after I publish this.
